Working Trip to San Francisco

Hi Folks...It's been a long time since my last blog. Yesterday, Leong was telling me over msn and he mentioned that it is so boring to be looking at the last entry everytime looking at my blog. So, I told him that I will update my blog and here I am...talking about my holidaying part of my working trip to San Francisco from 6th Nov 2006 to 14th Nov 2006...

When we(including my manager and my section head) arrived at San Francisco, it was 5th Nov about 6pm(16hours behind Singapore time). The company that I had my training, catered a limousine to pick us up from the airport to the hotel...

Crowne Plaza Cabana Hotel is where we put up throughout the whole trip. At that time, San Francisco has a very nice weather condition as they were "homing in" on winter. Due to the time difference, we suffered jetlag and we had a hard time trying to keep ourselves awake the subsequent days. Between the 6th and the morning half of 10th, we were at the company
having training...It was in the afternoon that the true relaxation begins...


This is the 1st place that we went to for our R & R...Stanford University. Heard it was one of the very well-known universities in the States. After that, we went to Stanford shopping mall which I got some clothes from Abercombie & Fitch....heard it was a very popular brand in America and not available in Singapore.

On the 11th, it was a full-day tour around San Francisco city. We went to the Golden Gate Bridge. As this is the 1st time I went to America, my jaws nearly dropped to the floor when I was at there.


This is how Alcatraz looks like from the mainland. This place is a small island located in the middle of San Francisco Bay that served as a lighthouse, then a military fortification, and then a federal prison for the area until 1969, when it became a national recreation area.


This is the last place of our tour in San Francisco...Fishermans Wharf. After this place, it was time for lunch and more shopping for Aberccombie & Fitch in the city shopping mall. On the 12th(13th in Singapore), it was time for me to bid goodbye to San Francisco. Hope to go to the States again.
