My 24th Birthday in Brisbane

Today is my 24th birthday but I have to spend it in Australia. It was really a meaningful birthday for me. Here is what happened on my birthday...At about 5pm after my classes, My housemates(Joo Kang & Anna) drove our troubled household car for repair and I drove our friend's car(Melvin) along just in case we need to leave our car in the garage for repairs. When we reached the garage, the technician told us that it will cost AUD$900 just to change a gearbox and an alternator whereas we can get it done for a much lower rate.

Eventually after considering, we decided to drive our car back home and it was about about 6pm then. On the way to the garage, we were already facing some problems with the car but the journey home was the most happening thing. Joo Kang was the driver for our car and me the driver for Melvin's car. Can anyone imagine having to drive a car at a speed of 40kmh all the way home with engine not able to engage gear? Halfway on the journey, as it was peak hour with a lot of people rushing home so there were a lot of vehicles. As our car could only travel at that speed, Joo Kang decided to stop at the road shoulder and wait for the traffic to be lesser before we continue our journey.

During our "pit stop" at the road shoulder, we talk and joke around to pass time. Try imagining spending a birthday on an expressway altough we scheduled my birthday celebration the following day(phew!!!). At around 7.20pm, the traffic was much lesser so we continued our journey home. The best part was Anna took a few pictures of the pathetic expressions of the birthday boy. So poor thing...
