A day of scare and happiness

I would like to apologise for not writing on my blog. Today was quite an eventful day which prompted me to write something. I had a poster presentation for one of my modules(Medical Imaging) at 11am. There are 3 of us in the group. At around 10.50am, I have yet to see one of my group mate who was holding on to the poster, appearing and I started to panic. By then, I was pacing up and down outside the place where the presentation was held.

Fortunately, another group mate(Debbie) kept her cool and try ways and means to keep me calm. We then think of means to actually get something out so that we could present something in order not to fail this presentation. At about 11.15am, I rushed to the nearest computer terminal to print a copy of my poster and blow it up to A3 size. After my return, we were hesitating on whether to put up our "colourless poster". Then Debbie suggested telling our lecturer the problem we are facing but by then almost everyone was done with their presentation and was 11.30am, so as suggested, we spoke to the lecturer. Luckily, the lecturer just told us to go ahead with what we have on our "backup" plan. As my "M.I.A(missing in action)" group mate was suppose to present the 1st part, me on the 2nd part of the poster and Debbie on the last part, therefore I have to briefly talk about the 1st part before I could get on to my part.

Guess what happened after we had finished our presentation? My "M.I.A" group mate appeared with the actual poster. My lecturer was kind enough to let us put up our poster and ask for my group mate to present on his part. After everything was over, my group mate told us what happened to him and I actually pity him than being angry with him because he was so tired that he overslept. But this is understandable because I know it is not easy being a student here. And the happy thing was that we got 5.8 out of a grade of 7 for this presentation.

The time now is 10pm, it is time for me to stop here and continue with my revision for my exams in uni. By the way, in another 2 hours, it will be my 24th birthday...wheee!!!!
